Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-16 This Privacy Policy explains how Motionriver collects and uses your information if you're using our Services or interacting with us (we'll call you a "user"). "Services" means our website at motionriver.com (the "Site") and the Motionriver software application (the "App"). Throughout this policy, you'll see us refer to ourselves as "Company," "we," "us," and "our." This Privacy Policy covers information we collect, use, disclose and store about users: On our Services. Through email, text and other electronic messages between you and us. PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY. IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH WHAT WE'VE DESCRIBED HERE, PLEASE DON'T USE THE SITE.
CHILDREN
Some of what we offer is designed for or appeals to kids under 13. Other parts are meant for people 13 and up. When we collect information on child-directed sections of our Services, we follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Generally, we don't ask anyone under 13 to give us personal information like their name, email, phone number, birthday, or address. People 13 and older might be asked to share personal details if they want to sign up for our newsletter, use a contact form, buy something, or subscribe to our software. Any part of our Services asking for that kind of information has an age gate to keep younger kids out. We take kids' privacy seriously. Motionriver doesn't knowingly collect personal information from users under 13 unless COPPA allows it. If we somehow find out we've collected personal details from someone under 13 without meaning to, we'll try to notify their parent and delete everything about that child. After that, we'll stop collecting anything more from them.
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Information we collect automatically. Using our Services means we might gather some information on our own. It helps us understand how things are working and make improvements. We're not using this to figure out who you are specifically. The kinds of things we collect include device details, IP address, MAC address and device identifiers, device software and firmware, connection type, internet service provider, search terms you use, pages you visit, how long you spend on the site, location data, stats and aggregated information, and whatever else reasonably helps us run things better. All users can have this information collected, including kids under 13. Information we ask for. To use some features, we need you to give us certain details. For instance: Contact customer support and we'll ask for your name and email. Sign up for the newsletter and we want your name, email, and where you live. Enter a competition and we might ask for your name and email. Create an account and we need your name, email, password, and billing info. Buy from our store and we get your name and billing information. We don't actually collect payment details ourselves. Stripe and other payment processors handle orders, subscriptions, purchases, and transactions from motionriver.com. Those companies have their own terms and privacy policies that we don't control. Before you buy anything, take a look at what those third parties say about privacy.

COOKIES
Note: The App doesn't use cookies. This section is just about the Site. Cookies are tiny text files that websites save on your computer or device. They help websites work and run better, plus they give site owners information about how people use their sites. Our Site uses cookies from other companies to tell you apart from other visitors, manage traffic, keep bad actors out, and let you buy from our store. It's how we make sure you have a good time browsing and help us get better. You can turn off some or all cookies in your browser's privacy settings (check your browser's help section to learn how). Keep in mind that turning off all cookies might break some parts of the Site. Want to know more about automatic data collection and how to opt out? LOG FILES
Like most websites, when you visit our Site, we collect certain information and save it in log files. This might include IP addresses, system configuration details, URLs of pages that sent you to us, and your language and locale preferences. We use this to keep the Site running smoothly. We're not trying to identify you or build a profile about you.
SECURITY
We use appropriate technical and organizational steps to protect your information and regularly look at our security to see what new technologies and methods we should adopt. That said, nothing sent over the internet is totally guaranteed to be secure, so we can't promise your personal information will never be compromised.
WHERE WE STORE USER INFORMATION
We have users all over the world. Information from our Services might be stored and processed in Canada, the United States, or wherever we or our service providers have offices. Sometimes your information gets transferred across borders to countries with different data protection laws. When that happens, we protect it according to this Privacy Policy and whatever privacy laws apply. We've put things in place to make sure our service providers follow legal frameworks for transferring information, including European Commission adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to that framework, and the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework.
DATA RETENTION
Unless the law says otherwise, we only keep your personal information as long as we need it for why we collected it in the first place. That includes legal, accounting, and reporting reasons. Sometimes we anonymize information so it can't be tied back to you anymore. When we do that, we can use it however we want for legitimate business purposes without telling you first.

You have these rights when it comes to information we hold about you: The right to access. You can ask to see the information we have about you. The right to rectification.
